The Safest Car In India Since 2014 As Per Global NCAP Ratings Is Mahindra XUV300
Global NCAP has released a list of cars it has tested for safety in the last six years. Topping the list is Mahindras compact SUV - the XUV300 thus becoming the safest among all the vehicles tested by Global NCAP.

Topping the list, is Mahindra¡¯s compact SUV - the XUV300, thus becoming the safest among all the vehicles tested by Global NCAP between 2014 and 2020.
Global NCAP (GNCAP) completed safety assessments on more than 38 vehicles during this period. Among these, the XUV300 achieved the highest combined occupant safety rating. This includes a 5-Star Global NCAP rating for adult occupant protection and a 4-Star rating for child occupant protection. The latter is a first of its kind achievement in India.
Mahindra XUV300 became the safest car in India thanks to extra points awarded to the car can be accredited to the best side-impact performance and lowest level of intrusion of the car. As a cumulative effect, the car was able to earn the best combined result under Global NCAP's #SaferCarsForIndia campaign, making it the safest among all the 5-star rated cars in the category. Mahindra claims a total of 50 safety features on the XUV300, including some segment firsts such as 7 airbags, disc brakes on all 4 wheels, front parking sensors and heated ORVMs
Through these, Global NCAP deemed the structure of the car as well as its foot-well area as stable. Head, neck and chest protection for adult occupants was good, except for the driver chest protection which was found to be adequate. In addition, femur and knee protection was found to be good as well.

Mahindra became the first and only manufacturer in India to date to be awarded the ¡°Safer Choice Award¡± by GNCAP in February this year. The official Global NCAP test for the Mahindra XUV300 was conducted in Germany earlier this year.
