Toyota would expect the Glanza to garner good sales numbers for it, just as the Baleno did the trick for Maruti Suzuki, with close to 18,000 units being sold monthly in the country. This, however, might raise the question, as to which of the two will put the sales numbers in their wholesale record.
Toyota is also expected to make slight changes to the interior of the car. Apart from this, the cabin will largely remain the same. As for its variants, the Toyota Glanza is expected to be announced in two petrol options including Maruti Suzuki's 1.2-litre, four-cylinder K12 petrol engine and probably a Toyota's 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine.

The Glanza forms a part of an umbrella of collaborations between the auto makers. On the whole, the two firms are supposed to collaborate on technological developments like hybrid and battery electric engines, vehicles production as well as market development.
The two majors recently released the exact details of their partnership. The pact mostly revolves around Toyota¡¯s hybrid electric vehicle technology. While the vehicles shall come from the house of Suzuki, Toyota will be responsible for what powers them. It is a classic tech-for-product trade off. Suzuki saves on the ¡®Research and Development¡¯ cost, while Toyota gets vehicles to re-package and sell under its own brand name.
