Toyota is under pressure from regulators and investors to switch to all-electric vehicles, but the Japanese carmaker is still pursuing a hybrid plan that includes EVs, PHEVs, HEVs, and fuel cell vehicles (FCEV).

According to Toyota, its plans to release its next generation of electric cars in 2026 with a cruising range of more than 620 miles (1,000 km) are moving forward.
