Roads are damaged, mobile networks are jammed and people are left homeless. Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan has described the situation as ¡°extremely grave¡±. The situation is worse than ever.
These two pics are just in 4 hours of time span, so you can imagine the amount of water rising up due to #KeralaFloods

Actor Siddharth, who is popular for his work in Rang De Basanti, is urging people to donate for the victims too. He is daring and begging people to take up this ¡°Kerala Donation Challenge¡± as he calls it. He has donated too and given a proof of the amount he has donated too.
#Kerala is facing great adversity in the form of floods. The people of Kerala have shown incredible strength and are helping each other deal with this calamity. We must all do our bit. Please contribute to the CM's Distress Relief Fund. Stay strong Kerala! #KeralaFloodRelief https://t.co/oSau5fWW1K

¡°I am pained by the lack of adequate attention being given to this situation. It reminds me of a similar apathy displayed by the national media during devastating Tamil Nadu floods of 2015¡ Every rupee donated towards the cause of flood relief in Kerala makes a difference and that he believed that social media had the special powers to create magical movements overnight,¡± he wrote in a letter written to the government recollecting the devastating flood situation of 2015.
