Aghathiyaa earns less than Rs 1 crore on day 1

Jiiva and Raashii Khanna are in the limelight because of their latest film, Aghathiyaa, which arrived in theatres yesterday. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, the action comedy earned Rs 76 lakh (nett) in India on the first day. Dragon dominated the new release and earned Rs 4 crore yesterday.

Aghathiyaa has received positive reviews with critics lauding the performances and concept. This may help it grow over the weekend. The film was originally announced in 2020 but got shelved. It was later revived by Vels Film International. Aghathiyaa finally hit the screens yesterday, four years after it was first conceptualised.
