Amaran box office collection day 15: Sivarkarthikeyan¡¯s film collects nearly Rs 3 crore despite the release of Kanguva
Sivakarthikeyan's well-received blockbuster Amaran netted Rs 3.17 crore on its third Thursday (November 14). The film did so despite facing competition from Suriya¡¯s fantasy drama Kanguva, which hit the screens yesterday.
Amaran, which hit the screens on October 31, has emerged a blockbuster at the domestic box office and proved to be a gamechanger for Sivakarthikeyan. The film collected an impressive Rs 114.85 crore in the opening week and became the talk of the town. It continued its stellar run in the second week and remained the top choice of the Tamil audience.
Amaran continues its dream run
Sivakarthikeyan¡¯s Amaran has exceeded all expectations at the domestic box office despite releasing alongside the Telugu crime drama Lucky Baskhar. After raking in nearly Rs 114 crore in the opening week, it remained unstoppable in its second week.
According to Sacnilk, a trade tracking website, the biographical drama netted Rs 3.17 crore on its third Thursday (November 14). The film did so despite facing competition from Suriya¡¯s Kanguva, which hit the screens yesterday. Amaran¡¯s total collection stands at nearly Rs 172 crore.

About Amaran
Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy of Rangoon fame, is based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan. The braveheart was martyred in Kashmir in 2014 during a military operation . Amaran features Sai Pallavi as the leading lady and marks her first collaboration with Sivarkarthikeyan. The film¡¯s cast includes Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Shyamaprasad, and Shreekumar .
