Amaran box office collection day 6: Sivarkarthikeyan¡¯s film storms into Rs 100 crore club

Amaran continues its dream run
Sivarkarthikeyan¡¯s Amaran continued its dream run at the domestic box office on Tuesday (November 5) and remained the top choice of the audience. According to Sacnilk, the film raked in Rs 8.75 crore on its sixth day and entered the coveted Rs 100-crore club. Its total collection stands at Rs 102 crore.

What¡¯s Amaran About?
The film is based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was martyred in Kashmir in 2014. Amaran stars Sivakarthikeyan as the braveheart and marks his first collaboration with Rajkumar Periasamy, who previously directed the Tamil drama Rangoon. Amaran features Sai Pallavi as the leading lady and is one of the most prestigious films of her career. The cast includes Rahul Bose, Bhuvan Arora, and Umair Ibn Lateef. Amaran is produced by Kamal Haasan¡¯s Raaj Kamal Films and its music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
Amaran is Sivakarthikeyan¡¯s second release of the year. He was last seen in Ayalaan. It hit the screens January 12 and did reasonably well at the box office, grossing nearly Rs 96 crore worldwide. Ayalaan featured Rakul Preet Singh as the leading lady and marked her first collaboration with SK. The cast included Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar and Yogi Babu. The film¡¯s music was composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman. Sivakarthikeyan will next be seen in a film directed by AR Murugadoss. It is being referred to as SK 23.
