Alia Bhatt Shares How Husband Ranbir Kapoor's Proposal Blew Her Mind On Karan Johar's Chat Show

Mom-to-be Alia Bhatt became the first guest to appear alongside Ranveer Singh on filmmaker Karan Johar's latest season of Koffee With Karan. The actress touched upon many unknown facts about her life during the first episode of the chat show Koffee With Karan 7.

But, what's more interesting about the KWK7 first episode was Alia Bhatt sharing the beginning of her love story with once upon a time Bollywood's most eligible bachelor Ranbir Kapoor.

Sharing how the two came close and ended up together for a lifetime, Alia Bhatt said that back then, she was single after a very long time and so was handsome hunk Ranbir Kapoor.

"Everyone around me, my sister and even my friends, everyone was like you are totally going to get together and I was like ¡®okay¡¯. Half wishing it, not full wishing it but I am like ¡®let¡¯s see¡¯. I didn¡¯t want to put too much energy into it. It should happen naturally. And it kind of happened naturally only,¡± she said on the comtroversial KWK chat show recently.

Recalling how she got the vibe for her now husband and Brahmastra co-star Ranbir Kapoor, the actress said that they were on a flight to Tel Aviv for attending a workshop of their upcoming movie Brahmastra and she was really excited about sitting next to each other on the plane.

¡°We both were seated together so I remember him walking in and he was supposed to sit next to me. I was very excited and I was looking this way waiting for him to come sit next to me,¡± the Raazi actress said.

However, the actress further revealed that unfortunately there was an issue with his seat, which meant there was a chance Ranbir would not be able to seat next to her and shift elsewhere.

Recalling the incident, the Udta Punjab actress said, "I was like ¡®Why is my dream getting shattered?¡¯ But later his seat got fixed so he came and sat back. That vibe started there only and of course, the rest is history.¡±

How Ranbir Kapoor Proposed To Alia Bhatt?

Alia Bhatt also revealed how her darling husband Ranbir Kapoor proposed to her in Maasai Mara. She said that Ranbir Kapoor totally blew her mind away with his planning.

"I was not expecting it. We were not even talking about it. We were talking about it for a very long time but then there were so many pandemic delays, that we decided we won¡¯t talk about it. We¡¯ll just go with feeling. And that¡¯s exactly what he did. He didn¡¯t tell anyone. He just carried the ring and he did it in the most amazing place, Maasai Mara.¡±

Meanwhile, Aia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be romancing each other onscreen for the first time in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and TV's popular Naagin Mouni Roy in key roles. The film will hit screens on September 9, 2022.
