Panchayat Season 1 Recap
In the very first season of Panchayat, Jitendra Kumar's character Abhishek Tripathi, an engineering graduate accepts the post of Panchayat Secretary in the isolated village of Phulera, Uttar Pradesh, because he can't find better employment possibilities. Abhishek is eager to get out of Phulera and has low expectations when he arrives. At first, he finds the lack of necessities and the ease of village life frustrating because they are so different from his goals and upbringing in the city.

Abhishek encounters a number of difficulties in adjusting to his new position, including as local politics, bureaucratic roadblocks, and cultural barriers. His early days are characterized by his efforts to adapt to the village's less developed infrastructure and slower pace.

But sorrow befalls Prahlad upon learning of Rahul's unexpected passing. The village's environment drastically changes when Rahul's martyrdom becomes the subject of media attention and ceremonial rites. Broken-hearted Prahlad sobs because he misses his son and is unsure of what to do next.
