Former cricket player Jhulan Goswami told the Hindustan Times that she was unable to comment at this time because she did not have any information on the film's release. "Mereko aisa koi news nahi hai," she continued, "aur call mujhe kar rahe sab! (I don't have any such news) Comment nai karna mujhe koi."
What the film¡¯s editor Manas Mittal said
Chakda ¡®Xpress was initially expected to premiere on Netflix in October 2023. In a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, the film¡¯s editor, Manas Mittal, revealed that the intended release was timed to coincide with the lead-up to the World Cup. However, as mid-September arrived with no announcements or promotional efforts from the team, Mittal realized something was wrong. ¡°It became evident that the release wasn¡¯t happening. Since then, there has been complete silence,¡± he remarked.

Dibyendu Bhattacharya¡¯s take on the controversy
A few months back, when questioned about why the Netflix movie Chakda Xpress hasn't been released yet, Dibyendu, who has acted in the film, mentioned that the filming was complete. "It's a very well-made film, but I don't know much either," he said.
He added that, yes, the film is finished, and it has turned out to be excellent. In fact, he called it Anushka's best performance. However, he has no idea what will happen to the movie or when it will be released. All he can do is hope. He hasn't contacted the producers to find out why the release is being delayed.
¡°Is it a censor board issue? Are there no available screens? Is the film struggling to find a market? As of now, there has been no clear update,¡± he told Bollywood Bubble.
Reportedly, there are rumours that creative differences and budget constraints led to problems between Netflix and Clean Slate Filmz, casting uncertainty over the film¡¯s future. However, no official statement has been made regarding any conflict.
