'Oppenheimer' won't be available for purchase on digital or for home streaming until late November, according to an exciting update
The digital / OTT release date for Christopher Nolan's biographical thriller "Oppenheimer" has not been announced two months after the film's major theatrical debut. After more than two months in cinemas, Oppenheimer has earned $925.9 million worldwide, including $321 million domestically and $604 million from foreign markets.
But fans have been waiting for it to release on an OTT platform with bated breath.

Christopher Nolan blames the shift to streaming for SAG-AFTRA strikes
According to the Comic Book Movie, Christopher Nolan stated in his most recent interview that the SAG-AFTRA strikes were caused by the move to streaming. According to him, the move to the OTT realm has upended the whole sector and only made the system's issues worse.
Christopher Nolan said, "Part of the craziness with the labor negotiations this summer has been the studios sitting there and going, ¡®Well, we can¡¯t pay you because we don¡¯t have enough money'. To which the answer is, ¡®Well, you don¡¯t have enough money because you¡¯re not managing your business correctly. You¡¯re not getting the same amount of money for your product that you were before.¡¯ The shift to streaming has disrupted the entire industry and created problems for everybody."
And as per Variety, he also talked about " "trying to translate the photography and sound [in #Oppenheimer]...for a version that you can buy and own at home and put on a shelf so no evil streaming service can come and steal it from you."
