'There Was Always Something Wrong About Esther': Fans Are Loving 'Orphan: First Kill' Trailer
Orphan: First Kill looks just as terrifying as the franchise's first installment from 2009, despite the title making it strangely sound like an action film.
Esther is back!
If the 2009 horror film 'Orphan' left you wanting more, here is a prequel. Orphan: First Kill looks just as terrifying as the franchise's first installment from 2009, despite the title making it strangely sound like an action film.
The 2009 Classic:
The 2009 film "Orphan" starred Isabelle Fuhrman as Esther, a 9-year-old Russian girl the Coleman family adopts after their third child dies in utero. Vera Farmiga and Peter Sarsgaard also starred in the film.
Esther starts acting strangely and violently like an adult, which causes her to conflict with her adopted mother.
After 13 years, Esther is all set to be back and let fans know her before the story. (Also, the fire story that killed her family)
In William Brent Bell's prequel, Isabelle Fuhrmann returns as Esther, this time masquerading as a missing child to once again invade a wealthy American family and cause predictable carnage.
Tricia Albright, the distressed mother who gradually realizes her daughter might not be who she purports to be, is portrayed by Julia Stiles.
Even though Esther looks older, in First Kill, Esther is actually younger.
In the trailer, Rossif Sutherland and Julia Stiles' tragically failing parents bring home a wounded adult rather than their lovely young daughter. They will adore their daughter before things begin to get messy.
Sadly, as we know, little Esther is not who she claims to be. She is far older than her Victorian attire. We're prepared to guess she'll lose her head quickly if you take that necklace off.
Watch the Orphan: First Kill trailer to reunite with Esther.
Thanks to intelligent production tactics, Isabelle Fuhrman is reprising her role as Esther, and William Brent Bell (The Boy, Separation) took over as director for First Kill.
Reacting to the trailer, fans shared how they can't wait to watch the prequel.

Orphan is definitely one of my favourite horror movies, right up there with the Conjuring, IT (2017) and A Quiet Place¡ ??????

Music to my ears that there¡¯ll be a prequel https://t.co/aUdMp2V4ak
Granting a bit of slack here because of the impressive idea and a bit of bias of this being a prequel.

But I don't know if Esther pulls off the young girl vibes as well as she did in the previous film from 2009. I'm still excited to see it.#orphanhttps://t.co/h9wBIKSt6T
too many people are talking about the Munsters movie trailer and not enough people are talking about the Orphan prequel trailer where a 25 year old woman is standing on her knees like Dorf On Golf to play a murderous 8 year old pic.twitter.com/ipSZZhNONs

Us Orphan freaks have been clambering for a prequel to the hit movie! And it's finally coming!

This one seems to be more of the same, but it's awe-inspiring how they were able to make Fuhrman look much younger.
To jog your memory, here is the trailer of the first installment.
Esther is a fascinating character, so it would be exciting to see her more than ten years after the first movie. The movie will release in theaters and streamed on Paramount+ starting August 19.
