The Archies Review: Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar & Others Praise Suhana Khan-Agastaya Nanda's Film

The Archies is a reimagining of the famous Archie Comics, directed and produced by Zoya Akhtar. The gang is placed in 1964 in an Anglo-Indian hill station, a high-elevation village overlooking a valley. The film is all set to release today i.e (7th december 2023).

The creators arranged a star-studded screening of the film two days prior to its premiere, and pictures and videos from the event went viral. Numerous celebrities attended the screening, including Ranveer Singh, Bobby Deol, Kapil Sharma, Ritesh Deshmukh, Shilpa Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, and Shah Rukh Khan.

The year is 1964..And straight from the credit roll you¡¯re sucked right into @zoieakhtar¡¯s world and with her impeccable craft and command she makes sure you¡¯re hooked! The production design, the cinematography,the choreography , the costume design will blow your mind with its on fleek detailing and aesthetic victories! Zoya and Reema not only speak of friendship and the traumas of genZ love but also of what a teenage mind can feel when they combat their sexual orientation and fear judgement ( watch out for this tender moment my favourite scene in the film) ¡­but very subtly they adress climate change , voice of a minority and the need to uprise to injustice all this packaged to a zingy and zanny musical!!.¡±

Archie (Agastya Nanda), Betty (Khushi Kapoor), Veronica (Suhana Khan), Jughead (Mihir Ahuja), Reggie (Vedang Raina), Ethel (Dot), and Dilton (Yuvraj Menda) are the seven pals whose stories are told in The Archies. Zoya, Ayesha Devitre, and Reema Kagti wrote the script for the movie.

The film will be available for streaming on Netflix from today.
