What is The Sabarmati Report about?
A reporter looks into Gujarat's Godhra train fire in 2002 in The Sabarmati Report. A different reporter finds his secret report years later. While pursuing the facts, they come upon a scheme involving influential people and are threatened.
The Sabarmati Report received mixed reviews from critics and fans when it was finally released in theaters on November 15, 2024, following several problems and delays.
Cast and crew
The cast includes Vikrant Massey as Samar Kumar, Raashii Khanna as Amrita Gill, and Riddhi Dogra as Manika Rajpurohit. Barkha Singh makes a cameo appearance as Shloka. Sundip Ved plays the Senior Minister, while Digvijay Purohit portrays Rajeev, the EBT head.
The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) government in some states proclaimed the Sabarmati Report to be tax-free. Along with the cast and crew, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other prominent BJP figures attended a screening of the movie and on his X account, PM Modi even praised the film.
