Vanangaan OTT Release Date: Arun Vijay and Roshni Prakash recently headlined a Tamil thriller which is now finally ready for its OTT debut. Released theatrically on 10th January 2025, the actioner grossed a total of Rs 4.36 crore at the box office. The film is ready to find its audience on OTT now. Vanangaan will be streaming on Tentkotta from February 21, 2025 worldwide.

Vanangaan¡¯s plot summary

The movie is set in Kanniyakumari and follows Kotti (Arun), a deaf and mute man who does small jobs, and his "sister" Devi (Ridha), who loves and cares for him. Kotti is someone who can't stay quiet when he sees something wrong. When he sees three men trying to harm blind girls at the orphanage where he works, he decides to fight back. However, his actions worry Devi, who is scared for his safety, knowing that the law will eventually come after him. How will Kotti's choices affect their close relationship?

Written, directed and co-produced by Bala under B Studios, along with Suresh Kamatchi under V House Productions, Vanangaan is a G. V. Prakash Kumar musical cinematographed by R. B. Gurudev and edited by Sathish Suriya.

Vanangaan¡¯s review

The Times of India rated the movie 2.5 out of 5 and a part of their review read, ¡°Some portions (like the melodramatic brother-sister sentiment) and the Bala-isms (there is a laugh every few minutes in the form of some sarcastic remark by one character or the other) work, but most often, Bala's storytelling and the filmmaking seem past their expiry date. Everything feels perfunctory, and even Arun Vijay's robust performance cannot elevate the routine nature of the film's proceedings.¡±
