John Cena came out to the ring during the last stretch of SmackDown and called out Ron Killings for assaulting him earlier in the night. ¡®The Second City Saint¡¯ spoke about their classic rivalry from over a decade ago and emphasised that the roles are reversed this time around. Back then, Punk was a heel trying to leave the company with the title while Cena was the good guy. However, the situation is the exact opposite now. Punk also used a Star Wars reference to hint at Cena possibly still being a good guy at heart.
Punk eventually exited the ring, which gave Ron ¡®R-Truth¡¯ Killings an opportunity to attack Cena and apply the STF, a submission hold to him.
