What A Great Opportunity! Slum Kid From Noida Bags A Role In Jaideep Ahlawat's 'Paatal Lok 2'

Paatal Lok 2's second season was previewed last year following the first season's massive success!

And now we have some fab news! A slum child from Noida has suddenly been cast in a significant role in the next OTT series.

Ayush Jha, a 10-year-old child actor, has already started filming for Paatal Lok's second season in Delhi.

Ayush Jha, who lives in a slum in Noida, lost his father during the Covid-19 wave. He attended the Voice of Slum NGO, where the Paatal Lok team organised tryouts for the role for a large number of these slum children.

According to India Today, "Scores of kids were auditioned by the team in which Ayush was immediately selected. After the death of his father, our NGO is taking care of his education and well-being. He is a bright child and we are extremely happy for his appearance in the Paatal Lok series," said Dev Pratap Singh Chauhan, Co-founder, Voice of Slum NGO.

Ayush also added, "When my father passed away due to Covid-19, my mother was left alone to take care of me. She was a housewife and wasn't aware of the outside world and had no idea how to earn money. The Voice of Slum NGO helped me out for my studies. They also gave me the opportunity to appear in the audition. I am really thankful to everyone who helped me and I am really looking forward for an acting opportunity in future too."

Paatal Lok 2 is currently being filmed in Delhi's slums near the Yamuna River.

He plays the childhood role of a significant character in the series. His performance thus far has been strong, and he is giving it his all.

For the unversed, Anurag Kashyap recently provided information regarding the postponement of Sacred Games 3. The director had revealed that Paatal Lok, another acclaimed series, has also been postponed in keeping with that.

In a conversation with The Lallantop, he said, ¡°It¡¯s written, but we¡¯re figuring out the next steps. Netflix was supposed to do it earlier, but they aren¡¯t doing it any more. The project had been green-lit, but a lot has changed since then on streaming. Lots of projects have stalled, like Paatal Lok season two¡­¡±

Pataal Lok:

Paatal Lok is an Indian Hindi-language crime thriller web television series on Amazon Prime Video, developed by Sudip Sharma, who authored the script along with Sagar Haveli, Hardik Mehta and Gunjit Chopra, and directed by Avinash Arun and Prosit Roy. Jaideep Ahlawat, Gul Panag, Neeraj Kabi, Swastika Mukherjee, Ishwak Singh, and Abhishek Banerjee are among the cast members of the series, which was produced by Anushka Sharma under the company of Clean Slate Filmz. A disillusioned cop who takes on the case of an unsuccessful assassination attempt is the subject of the series, which is loosely based on Tarun Tejpal's 2010 novel The Tale of My Assassins.
