7/G - The Dark Story OTT release date: Sonia Agarwal and Smruthi Venkat¡¯s 2024 Tamil saga have found a digital home. The horror film opened to mixed-to-negative reviews on July 5th this year and was eyeing a streaming platform for a long time. With Aha acquiring its OTT rights, 7/G - The Dark Story¡¯s Tamil version will premiere on December 9 followed by its Telugu version available from December 12.
7/G - The Dark Story plot summary
Sonia plays a ghost in this thriller where she primarily takes up the role of Manjula, a housewife who lives in an apartment with her son. Sadly, both Manjula and her son end up taking their own lives because of the constant bullying from her stepbrother. The story shifts when Varsha (Smruthi) moves into the same apartment with her husband Rajiv. Desperate to win Rajiv back, Varsha uses black magic to curse his family. Soon, the family starts getting haunted by a ghost.
As the haunting continues, Varsha realizes the ghost is actually Manjula, the woman who lived in the apartment before. Feeling guilty, Varsha decides to help Manjula find the truth behind her death and get revenge on the people who abetted her death. The sequences that took place during this narrative are worth watching.

Written, produced and directed by Haroon, 7/G also stars Roshan Basheer as Rajiv, Siddharth Vipin as Rakesh, Sneha Gupta as Nisha, Subramaniam Siva as Mani and Kalki Raja among others.
