Akshay Kumar shares good news for fans waiting for Hera Pheri 3: 'It will start this year'
Akshay Kumar has hinted that Hera Pheri 3, the highly anticipated sequel to the cult classics Hera Pheri (2000) and Phir Hera Pheri (2006), might begin production this year if everything aligns. He acknowledged the unexpected success of the iconic characters¡ªBabu Bhaiya, Raju, and Shyam.
Fans of Hera Pheri, a cult classic starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty, are yearning for a third sequel. There are indications that the makers are contemplating a third instalment of the successful film, but there has been no official confirmation yet.
Akshay Kumar on Hera Pheri 3
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has updated fans on Hera Pheri 3. In an interview, he said the highly awaited picture could begin this year. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar, who is promoting his forthcoming film Sky Force said, "Even I am waiting to start Hera Pheri 3. I don¡¯t know, but if everything goes well, it will start this year."

"When we started Hera Pheri, we didn¡¯t know it would go ahead to become such a cult. Even when I saw the film, I didn¡¯t understand. Yes, it was funny, but none of us expected the characters of Babu Bhaiya, Raju, and Shyam to become a cult," the actor added.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in Sky Force, which also stars Veer Pahariya. The film will open in theatres on January 24.
Kumar praised Hera Pheri co-stars
Akshay Kumar, in his interview, also praised Paresh Rawal with whom he is currently working in Bhooth Bangla. "We were just shooting for Bhooth Bangla in Jaipur, and I had lots of fun with him. During Hera Pheri, we had a lot of fun, but there are some things that can¡¯t be said on camera," he said.
Hera Pheri, directed by Priyadarshan and released in 2000, starred Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. The film went on to become a major success for the performers' careers.
The sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, was released in 2006 and continued the story of the characters from the previous film. Fans are now anticipating the third instalment in the successful franchise, which is slated for a major release.
