KGF star Yash might play Dev in Brahmastra 2 as an insider has revealed that he has been offered the role. However, the Kannada actor hasn't said yes to the project yet.
Soon after the release of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Brahamstra, grapevine spread like wildfire that Ranveer Singh will essay the role of Dev in Brahmastra part 2. While filmmaker Ayan Mukerji refused to confirm or deny the reports claiming so, now rumour has it that KGF star Yash has been approached to essay the role of Dev in Brahmastra part 2.

The word spread after an insider told Pinkvilla that Yash has been offered Brahamastra. However, he is yet to give his nod of consent. "This is another epic tale of modern mythology, and he is offered to play the powerful character of Dev. However, the two are mere offers from two and Yash is yet to give a go-ahead to either of them. Like every other project, this one is too in the list of the post KGF offers and he is expected to make up his mind by January 2023 i.e., his birthday," the source said.

"Making Brahmastra 1 in India; it is a fully ¡®Made In India¡¯ product, it was very challenging. So now to make Part 2 even happen in 2-3 years is also a very very big challenge. Making it at the same quality with better dialogues (laughs) and more juicy storytelling, it is a very very big challenge," he was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
Ayan also compared Shah Rukh Khan's cameo in the movie to Iron Man.
"If you actually look closely, you will see the tonality of that scene is a little bit Iron Man-like. We always thought Vanarastra will always exist in the world of science, which is why we have shown him to be a scientist," he said.

He then added, "The tonality of that scene, because it is a bit of an item sequence at the beginning of part one, is different from the tonality of the rest of the film. Brahmastra has a romance between Shiva and Isha, it has some sincerity in its tonality. But Shah Rukh Khan is kind of a hero, cracking jokes. So, I knew that that tonality is different, even when we were shooting it, we were like this is very exciting. We were also having fun while shooting that part as it was very playful."
Did you know Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor didn't charge a penny for the movie?
"Yeh film hamari bohut hi zid aur personal sacrifices se bani hai. So yes, yeh Sach hai ki jo Ranbir ki price as a star, actor it is on a film, he did not take anything for the making of Brahmastra. Aur main manta hoon ke iske baigaar hum yeh film ko bana nahi paate. It is a very, very big thing, kyuki. It would not have been possible," Ayan Mukerji said adding that neither Ranbir nor Alia charged a penny for Brahmastra.
