Ayan Mukerji Accepts His Film Brahmastra Isn't Flawless, Promises Better Dialogues In Part 2
Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji says it's a "very very big challenge" to make Part 2 of Brahmastra.
Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji is currently enjoying the success of his latest release. The filmmaker, who worked on making a Marvel-like film in Bollywood for the audience has opened up about the hidden aspects behind creating his kind of 'Astraverse.'
As it took nearly 10 years to complete Brahmastra and cater to the audience at theatres, Ayan Mukerji shares how it's a 'Made in India' product and talks about the challenges he faced while working on his life's most ambitious project and what's in store for future in Brahmastra trilogy.
According to reports, while speaking to Sony Music India, Ayan Mukerji revealed that making the next part of his trilogy that is 'Brahmastra 2' in 2-3 years is a big challenge. Ayan indirectly accepted that his Brahmastra part 1 is not flawless.
"Look at Baahubali, 2 years pass just like that. We have a very big country, I think it will take six months just for everybody to see Brahmastra. It would have been amazing if we could have given you Brahmastra 2 next year. I would have loved it, it would have been great for me,¡± Ayan Mukerji was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
Many on social media pointed out the film's poor and repetitive dialogues and bad screenplay and shared memes that went viral on the internet. People trolled and mocked Alia Bhatt for repeating her dialogues in Brahmastra such as saying 'Shiva' multiple times.

Ayan Mukerji further said it was very challenging to make Brahmastra Part 1 in India.
"Making Brahmastra 1 in India; it is a fully ¡®Made In India¡¯ product, it was very challenging. So now to make Part 2 even happen in 2-3 years is also a very very big challenge. Making it at the same quality with better dialogues (laughs) and more juicy storytelling, it is a very very big challenge," he further added as per the media outlet.
Meanwhile, Brahmastra has raked in over Rs 400 crores worldwide and over Rs 250 crores at the domestic box office alone.
The Ayan Mukerji film stars celebrity couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead role. Mouni Roy, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, and south star Nagarjuna also play key roles in the film other than Shah Rukh Khan, who is seen portraying a cameo character bearing the Vanarastra in the film.
