After memes of Alia Bhatt repeating 'Shiva' in her dialogues in Ayan Mukerji's most ambitious project 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva' went viral on the internet, Ranbir Kapoor has taken the responsibility on his shoulder to defend his wife's essence in the film.
After Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's film Brahmastra was released at theatres, many have claimed that the 'Raazi' actress has only one dialogue in the Ayan Mukerji directorial, and that is calling her baby daddy Ranbir Kapoor 'Shiva' throughout the movie.

Now, Alia Bhatt's husband Ranbir Kapoor has opened up about the reason why his wife kept saying Shiva throughout the fantasy adventure flick.

"We want to tell the audience that Alia and I would always ask Ayan that 'yaar, her name is Isha, my name is Shiva, do we have to keep saying it?'' Ranbir revealed during an interview with NDTV.
Further revealing the mystery behind 'Shiva dialogue', 'Sanju' actor Ranbir Kapoor said, "Ayan was very particular that when someone is in love, they have to enjoy saying the name of the person they love. And I think that makes sense."
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt's film, which hit theatres on September 9 has been dubbed as a 'hit' by many as the box office numbers have only been going up.
Other than the celebrity couple, the film also stars veteran star Amitabh Bachchan, TV's popular actress Mouni Roy, south superstar Nagarjuna and Shah Rukh Khan in key roles.
The film has also broken several records at the box office. People have loved Shah Rukh's cameo so much that they want to see him in a full-fledged movie with his 'Vanarastra.'
With the movie minting over Rs 300 crore at the worldwide box office collections, Ayan Mukerji has confirmed that he will make separate films on ¡®Jalastra¡¯ and ¡®Vanarastra¡¯, as per India Today reports.
Speaking about the upcoming parts of the Brahmastra trilogy, director Ayan Mukerji had previously stated, ¡°The entire trilogy will tell the same story but the next movies will introduce new characters and bring new perspectives to the Brahmastra story."
