The film is officially set to hit the theatre screens on September 23, 2022.
The makers of Chup decided to give the audience to attend free movie screenings of their film and many attended these few screenings that took place across the country.

While it's unusual for a movie's pre-release screenings to take place 2-3 days prior to release, the makers of Chup followed their guts to test the waters amid the ongoing boycott trend and look like they are on the right track.
Just two days ahead of the film's release, people started lauding the film and tweeting about it to make the hashtag ##ChupPublicReview to the trend list on Twitter on Wednesday, September 21.

Well, Chup is definitely driving people crazy. Praising Dulquer Salmaan aka DQ's "brilliant" performance to hailing the movie as the 'best psychological thriller', people are just in love with Chup, which is directed by R Balki.

Meanwhile, Chup director R Balki recently told India Today that the box office numbers always mattered to him. However, he said that while it does depend on the movie, it should do well so that makers are not at loss.

Speaking of what inspired him to make 'Chup' R Balki said that he made the film as he felt the pain of receiving negative reviews like many others. The director also expressed that it isn't just about films but any kind of criticism people faces in life.
