The plot of Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway centers on an immigrant mother's fight to reclaim custody of her children from Norway.
In the movie, Mrs. Chatterjee uproots her life and moves to Norway after she gets married and starts a family.
But things change when her kids are taken from her under the guise of bad parenting. Debika, the mother, is played by Rani Mukerji, and Anirban Bhattacharya plays her husband.
Talking about the film, she said,
"The shoot and the local crew consisted of many pregnant, working mothers, and single parents, and the entire set had this mother energy that took over. It is not easy to accommodate so many mothers and their children, and it is kudos to the production team to have taken up such a challenging task and seen through it to the end."
Veteran actor Rekha encourages a new generation of actors to their splendid movie performances.
Recently, Rekha showered her praise for Rani Mukherjee, who is in the headlines for portraying the lead character in ¡®Mrs. Chatterjee v/s Norway¡¯.
Rekha and Rani posed for the shutterbugs after the screening. Rani wore a yellow-colored shirt, while Rekha wore a pastel-colored dress.
After watching the special screening of the movie, Rekha said,
"Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, was both exhilarating and heart-wrenching, was sitting at the edge of my seat from the word go. Watching the dynamic performance of this ¡®Bengal Tigress¡¯ of a mother fighting tooth and nail for her kids was an absolute delight. This film is for the world to see what Mother India is about! This time, Rani has outdone herself as the Eternal mother¡ depicting all the faces of Durga Maa¡ the ultimate ¡®Mother¡¯, an intense performance worth watching countless times! She walks through fire, straight into our hearts! What a pleasure to see the actor and character melt into each other! I also want to congratulate the entire cast and crew, especially the Director, who was on point and beyond! A special mention of Jim Sarbh for his flawless and constrained performance! Extremely grateful and proud to witness this brave film which reinforces the fact that there is nothing mightier than a ¡®Mother¡¯s Might¡¯!"
The movie directed by Ashima Chibber, will be released in halls on March 17.
