Did You Know Salman Khan Rejected Chak De India & Shah Rukh Khan Thought It Was The Worst Film?
Salman Khan rejected Chak De India because he didn't like the climax. Shah Rukh Khan did the film but then thought they have made the worst film.
Did you know one of the biggest hits of Shah Rukh Khan's career Chak De India was also offered to Salman Khan but he rejected it? Salman Khan apparently wasn't happy with the climax of the movie and chose to do Partner with Govinda instead. While both the films performed well and received love from the audience, SRK after he had shot for the movie thought it was the worst movie ever made.
Both the films had released in 2007. Today marks the 15th anniversary of Chak De India. Here's what the cast of the film is up to.
"Sattar(70) Minute, sattar min hai tumhare paas. Shayad yeh.. tumhare zindagi ke sab se khaas sattar minute hai. Aaj tum achha khelo ya bura khelo, yeh sattar minute tumhe zindagi bhar yaad rahenge¡¡±
Fifteen years later, the epic dialogue still remains etched in our hearts.
Sattar Minute, Sattar Minute hai tumhare paas ? Aag hi laga diya Jaan ne toh aaj, Hath mein Hockey Stick lekar uss mahol mein yeh Iconic lines bole, dialogue ke jaise nahi waise jaise apne Bacchon ko advice karte huye kehte, Dil se unhe motivate kiye??

Shah Rukh Khan said he almost cried after watching Chak De India and thought it was the worst he ever made.
"We had young girls who learnt how to play hockey. We had Yash Chopra backing it. But when I saw the film at its first screening, we all looked at it and felt it was the worst film we had ever made in our lives. The girls didn¡¯t know this because for them seeing themselves on screen for the first time was a big thing. So they were irritatingly screaming and dancing while the four us were sitting there and crying," he had said.
Salman Khan on the other hand rejected the movie because he was not happy with the climax. He also thought the movie wouldn't perform well.
Khan had told CNN IBN, "I had an issue with the climax of the film. Adi (producer Aditya Chopra) had told me 'I will make it the biggest hit and you don¡¯t know what you are missing out on.' I was fortunate Partner did well."
As Shah Rukh Khan's Kabir Singh coached the Indian Women's Hockey Team, a sense of patriotism was instilled in the hearts of audiences automatically. Nation comes first, he taught us. "Mujhe states ke naam na sunai dete hai na dikhai dete hai... Sirf ek mulk ka naam sunai deta hai: I-N-D-I-A!"
