The Diplomat box office prediction day 1: John Abraham¡¯s The Diplomat is set to hit the screens today (March 14). According to a trade analyst, the actioner may earn less than Rs 3 crore on the first day.

The Diplomat box office prediction day 1: John Abraham is gearing up for the release of The Diplomat, slated to hit the screens on March 14. The film has failed to create a great deal of buzz among fans as it wasn't promoted too aggressively. This has likely to affect its commercial prospects . According to a trade analyst, it will open on a slow note at the box office.
The Diplomat to take a slow start?
The Diplomat, starring John Abraham, is expected to take a dull start at the box office despite releasing on Holi. According to Rohit Jaiswal, a trade analyst and critic, it will earn between Rs 2 crore and Rs 3 crore on the first day
¡°I see the film earning between Rs 2 crore and Rs 3 crore on the first day. This is nothing but a disastrous figure,¡± he told Indiatimes.
If this prediction holds, The Diplomat may fail to beat the day 1 performance of Vedaa. The action drama, which hit the screens last August, earned Rs 6.5 crore on its opening day despite facing competition from Shraddha Kapoor¡¯s Stree 2 and the Akshay Kumar-led Khel Khel Mein.
As things stand. The Diplomat needs stellar word-of-mouth to emerge as a success.
