As Saffron Bikini Makes The Final Cut, Vishwa Hindu Parishad Takes U-Turn And Withdraws Protest Against Pathaan
Deepika Padukone's controversial saffron bikini is included in the final cut as Vishwa Hindu Parishad has taken a U-tuen and withdrew protest against Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan.
Objectionable lyrics, saffron costumes, Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC)'s suggestion to cut 10 scenes including some of the sensuous ones and every day calls for boycott on social media - Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone-John Abraham starrer Pathaan witnessed so many roadblocks before its release but nothing could stop the film from shattering box office records.
SRKians are already celebrating the film like it is the biggest festival in the world and watching early morning shows at even 6 am and 7 am. But what happened to those protesting against the film's release? Many of them have taken a U-Turn including Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

While many people thought that the censor board has chopped off the scene from Besharam Rang that gave rise to the biggest contrioversy in the nation - which led to a seer giving open death threats to Shah Rukh Khan and performing his Tehraveen thereafter--apparently, the song and the visuals of Deepika in orange bikini are intact.
What's more? Vishwa Hindu Parishad has taken a U-turn and announced that they are not protesting against the movie anymore.
For the time being, VHP will not oppose film Pathaan. Keeping our earlier objections in mind, changes made in the film are correct. After watching the film, if we find anything objectionable, then we'll reconsider opposing the film: VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) spox Shriraj Nair

A VHP spokesperson said that they will watch the movie and then decide if there's anything objectionable in it. Shriraj Nair told ANI, "For the time being, VHP will not oppose film Pathaan. Keeping our earlier objections in mind, changes made in the film are correct. After watching the film, if we find anything objectionable, then we'll reconsider opposing the film."
Has this happened after Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking BJP leaders to refrain from making controversial remarks about movies?
This reportedly happened during the BJP national executive meeting in New Delhi on Jan 16 and Jan 17. As per a report on India Today, PM Modi allegedly said that "some people give statements on some film" and it plays on TV all through the day. He thus asked them to avoid making "unnecessary statements".
