Vivek Agnihotri Takes A Sly Dig At 'Laal Singh Chaddha', Accuses 'Bollywood Dons' Of Destroying Careers
Amid the cancel culture in Bollywood, Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has made a subtly offensive comment on Laal Singh Chaddha.
Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, a recent movie starring Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, has been at the center of controversy. Before it ever hit the big screen, there were multiple demands for a boycott of the film. After its release, it got into legal issues for allegedly offending the Hindu faith and the Indian Army.
Amid the cancel culture in Bollywood, Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has made a subtly offensive comment on Laal Singh Chaddha.
The director of The Kashmir Files recently shared a tweet on his official Twitter account that seemed to refer to a recent statement by actress Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Defending her film, Kareena recently said,
"I want people to see me and Aamir (Khan) on screen. It¡¯s been three years; we¡¯ve waited so long. So, please don¡¯t boycott this film, because it¡¯s actually like boycotting good cinema. And people have worked so hard on it; we¡¯ve had 250 people work on this film for two-and-a-half years."
Reacting to the remarks made by Laal Singh Chaddha to defend itself from the boycott, Agnihotri shared a few tweets sharing his state of mind.
For the unversed, Vivek Agnihotri slammed Bollywood for being unsupportive during and after the release of his film 'The Kashmir Files'. One of Vivek's tweets reads:
When Good Content Small films are sabotaged, boycotted by the Dons of Bollywood, when their shows are taken away by Multiplexes, when critics gang up against small films¡ nobody thinks of 250 poor people who worked hard on that film. #Bollywood

Why nobody from Bollywood raises voice when the Kings of Bollywood boycott, ban & destroy careers of so many outsider actors, directors, writers?

The day common Indians get to know the ARROGANCE, FASCISM & HINDUPHOBIA of the Dons of Bollywood, they¡¯ll drown them in hot coffee.
Vivek, who has made headlines for his condescending remarks against actors in the past, added,
"Forget the quality of a film; when 60 yr old heroes are desperate to romance 20/30 yr old girls, photoshopping faces to look young, there is something fundamentally wrong with Bollywood. ¡®Looking young & cool¡¯ has destroyed Bollywood. And only one person is responsible for this."
