Since its debut, the action-packed movie has brought in around Rs17 crore in India, according to Sacnilk.com. On its first day, the movie brought in Rs 4.1 crore, and on its second, Rs 5.75 crore. According to preliminary estimates, it made Rs 7 crore nett in India on its third day. The movie has made Rs 16.85 crore in India thus far.

In this action film, Sidharth Malhotra plays off-duty soldier Arun Katyal, who takes on the dual roles of fighting terrorists and rescuing passengers from a hijacked aircraft. The story takes a turn when the plane's engine gives out.
In addition, Yodha has Tanuj Virwani, Ronit Roy, and Disha Patani in supporting parts.
Talking about the movie Sidharth told ANI, "Yodha is a completely fictitious story. We have created a new task force - Yodha. So when you create something from zero, then you can take a lot of liberties. We have done many variations in the film and also the action I got to perform is very different from Shershaah.¡±
