11 Actors Who Are Nearly Playing Similar Characters In Most Films Yet Winning Our Hearts

No matter whatever character they get to play, actors always find something or the other that they associate with themselves in real life. There are very few actors who transform themselves completely and the procedure they go through changes their personality. For instance, Ranveer Singh took the psychiatrist's help to get out of his Padmaavat role. That's scary, right?

On the other hand, there are actors who fit so well in a specific type of character that they often play the same role in every project, yet they have carved out a successful niche for themselves.

1. Pankaj Tripathi -- North Indian man

Why so? Because he gets the same brief for every role. He admitted that he didn't have to work hard for 90 percent of the roles he has done so far. "I don't have to work hard for 90 per cent of the roles I get (laughs). Most of the brief I get is simple - there's a North Indian man, aur tum apna wala kuch kar dena (and then you do you), Pankaj told India Today.

2. Salman Khan -- The badass hero

Apart from quintessential Prem, Tere Naam and Sultan, Salman Khan has almost played similar roles -- be it a comedy film or a cop role. He hasn't experimented with off-beat roles and prefers to stick to commercial films apparently.

In most of the films, Ajay Devgn essays the role of a tough and no-nonsense guy, who can't be enticed by a woman so easily. His doesn't-care-attitude is evident in almost all the roles he has essayed. He is never vulnerable or weak.

Be it Dangal, Stree, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, or Luka Chuppi, Aparshakti Khurrana's roles might not appear conventionally similar, yet they are always no different from "hero ka dost". He is pretty much satisfied with such roles. He once told IANS, "I was travelling and a guy came to me at the airport and said a very thing cute thing which makes me very happy. He said ¡®Sir, aapko pata hai aapne hero ke dostun ko respect de di¡¯ (¡®Do you know you gave respect to hero¡¯s friends¡¯). I felt so good about it. And whenever somebody comes and gives me ¡®gyaan¡¯ on doing a lead role or look upon down on me as an actor because I am not doing things in the lead space, I just go back to that conversation and feel happy about it."

5. Jim Sarbh -- Villain

The extremely talented Jim Sarbh has mostly got play antagonists in films. He made his feature debut with Ram Madhvani's Neerja, and since then he has featured in Raabta, Padmaavat, Sanju and more.
