5. Meredith from Grey's Anatomy (Season 1 v/s Season 17)

From a girl who smiled brightly at her one-night stand to the 17th season, where she smiles as she finds closure with Derrick and is an established surgeon and a happy mother, Meredith has been a happy revelation for fans.

Derrick Shepard's last episode of Grey's Anatomy could probably be named the saddest episode of GA in the show's history! Like, come on, we all have bawled our eyes out when Derrick dies after saving the lives of people just before his unfortunate accident.

Be it Derrick's career trajectory or his compassion and acceptance towards relationships in life, and we see him grow as a person!

7. Joey from FRIENDS (Season 1 v/s Season 10)

Joey is one character from FRIENDS who never grew up, and for good! While many have touted his antics as 'problematic' and downright 'sexist,' Joey is one character who has made us laugh from first until the last season. Well, come on! His career has ever been labeled as boring, but Ross' life is more interesting than all our lives put together. Be it his relationships or his obsession with sandwiches (if you know what I mean!) Ross is probably one of the most believable characters from FRIENDS because he is as humane as we are!

From seasons 1 to 10, one thing that has made us laugh the most is Chandler's pun and jokes!
