Afghan Pop Star Aryana Sayeed Flees From Kabul After Taliban Takes Over, Says 'Well & Alive'
Afghanistan's popular female pop star Aryana Sayeed, who once dared to enter a stage (prohibited by Taliban) to sing a song without wearing a hijab in 2015, has escaped from Kabul.
The safety of women is in danger after Taliban occupied Afghanistan.
Governor of the Hazara district, Salima Mazari, was reportedly arrested earlier this week. Many people fear that she, who has often openly criticised the militant group, might be executed, reports New York Post.

When many Afghan political leaders fled, Salima stayed to fight. As one of the first female district Governors in Afghanistan, she took on the Taliban & resisted until the end. She has reportedly been captured. Pressure to free her!! #FreeSalima pic.twitter.com/qXwLKjWxou
In the midst of this, Afghanistan's popular female pop star Aryana Sayeed, who had dared to enter a stage (prohibited by Taliban) to sing a song without wearing a hijab in 2015, has escaped from Kabul.
She had been campaigning against the Taliban. She had also called on President Joe Biden and the United Nations to stop Pakistan from "supporting" Taliban.
"To @joebiden @unitednations : I CANT BELIEVE YOU LEFT AFGHANISTAN IN CHAOS!! Taking a few thousand civilians/American citizens out of Afghanistan is appreciated but it won¡¯t solve the problem. What about the millions who are left behind in total chaos ?? Thousands of them displaced with no shelter and no food to eat and no where to got to . What will happen to them? Please #sanctionpakistan please STOP ? FUNDING PAKISTAN which they use to produce more terrorists and send them off to Afghanistan in the name of AL-QAIDA, ISIS, TALIBAN etc !!!!!! Please end this unfair, cruel war and the killings of our innocent people for the sake of God and for the sake of HUMANITY ?? Haven¡¯t they suffered enough ? (sic)".
The 36-year-old, who had recently starred as a judge on a singing competition show on Afghan television, told reporters she left via US cargo jet, reported New York Post.
Taking to Instagram, she revealed she is well and alive.
"After I get home and my mind and emotions return back to normal from a world of disbelief and shock, I have many stories to share with you".
"I am well and alive after a couple of unforgettable nights. I have reached Doha, Qatar and am awaiting my eventual flight back home to Istanbul. My heart, my prayers and my thoughts will always be with you," she wrote to her followers on Instagram.
From Doha, Aryana Sayeed continued to Turkey where she resides full time with her husband Hasib Sayed, an Afghan music producer.
In a post on Instagram, her husband wrote, "She fell asleep the moment she rested her head right after we got on the plane scheduled to fly us out of Doha, Qatar. I was just staring at her and remembering just how bravely and how fearlessly she handled the most recent, the most difficult and most dangerous moments of her life. I have a lot to write, but we have to take off soon for what will be another flight of a recent journey that at one point seemed like our final destination. To you and to many others she might be just an Artist with a beautiful voice and an outstanding talent. But for me, she is a fearless Champion who many times has been a Role Model even to myself. I¡¯ll let her sleep peacefully for now as soon she will have many stories to tell¡ -Hasib Sayed-".
