After a horrific event took place in Manipur against women, Akshay Kumar and more celebs have condemned the incident.

India saw a doomed day yesterday when a horrific video of a mob parading two women and gangraping her in Manipur surfaced online. The incident has shaken the country to the core and nationwide sparked an outrage. As we speak, several leaders are echoing the demand for punishment against the culprits.
Several Bollywood celebrities have also taken to social media and strongly condemned the act.
For the unversed, the state of Manipur is under the ire of an ethnic clash between two communities, Meiteis and Kukis since the beginning of May. Now after this disturbing video emerged online, Akshay took to Twitter and wrote, ¡°Shaken, disgusted to see the video of violence against women in Manipur.¡±

Veteran actress Renuka Shahane called out the government's failure to control the violence in Manipur.

Former actress and politician, Smriti Irani whose own party is ruling Manipur took to Twitter and wrote, ¡°The horrific video of sexual assault of 2 women emanating from Manipur is condemnable and downright inhuman. Spoke to CM @NBirenSingh ji who has informed me that investigation is currently underway & assured that no effort will be spared to bring perpetrators to justice.¡±

It is reported that a police complaint over this incident was filed last month. A case of gang rape, abduction and murder was registered against some unknown forces. Meanwhile, Manipur continues to suffer an internet shutdown ever since the clash broke out over ¡°law and order¡± issues in Manipur.
