'Gods Are Getting Mocked', Allu Arjun's Pushpa-Inspired Lord Ganesha Idols Tagged 'Anti-Hindu'
Pushpa Raj inspired Lord Ganesha idols on Ganesh Chaturthi make fans angry. Tagging them as "anti-Hindu", people say Gods are being mocked.
"Pushpa, Pushpa Raj... Pushpa naam sunkar flower samjhi kya?"
The frenzy around Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise is so much that when the actor made a grand entry at the India Day Parade in New York, he addressed the people and said, "Ye Bharat ka tiranga hai, kabhi jhukega nahi". Not just that, he also met with New York Mayor Eric Adams and made him do the character's iconic signature step.

Now, as Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations have kicked in, the frenzy around Allu Arjun's Pushpa has been taken to another level. Ganesha Idols inspired by the famous movie characters are apparently selling in the market. In the photos of the round, the Lord Ganesha idols can be seen wearing white Kurta-Pajama, similar to the one that Allu Arjun wore in the film.

The photo of the statue doing the rounds also shows it performing Pushpa's iconic hand gesture.

What is this nonsense? This is so very insensitive & insulting for hindus. This @alluarjun 's signature style dialogue was followed by Saala (a common abusive word in hindi) . I think @alluarjun should request his fans to not do something like this for attention.

Meanwhile, after basking in the success of Pusha: The Rise, Allu Arjun will soon begin shooting for the sequel of the movie. Pushpa 2 will also star Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles.
Talking about his role, Fahadh Faasil said, "My character was about to appear in the second part of the film. But then one morning the director of the film sukumar sir called me and said 'I want to give a teaser. I had to do one scene initially which later turned into two and a half scenes. He also said that he has never done such a character before, it was a strange character."
Pushpa 2 has gone on floors in Hyderabad. A pooja ceremony was held for the same. Allu Arjun who is in the US will soon join the cast and the crew. The film will hit the screens in December 2023.
