Aryan Khan And 7 Others Sent To NCB Custody Till Oct 7, Links To Dark Web And Bitcoin Suspected

Shah Rukh Khan¡¯s son Aryan Khan and seven others - arrested in the wake of Saturday night¡¯s raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast - have been sent to further NCB custody till October 7.
The court, in its order, while extending custody of the accused, stated that the investigation in the case was of prime importance, and considering this aspect, the further presence of the accused before the NCB was essential.

Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha sent to NCB custody till 7th October.
All accused were produced in court on Monday. According to a report, NCB has claimed that ¡®shocking, incriminating material¡¯ was found on Aryan¡¯s phone.
According to an ETimes report, Sameer Wankhede, the Zonal Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said,
¡°We asked for custody of Aryan Khan because there¡¯s still a lot more left to investigate in the case. Many new arrests have happened, where we have caught drug peddlers, who used to supply illegal substances to parties. During these arrests, we¡¯ve found links to the dark web and Bitcoin as well. We have recovered drugs in commercial quantities. The quantum of the case has become more serious; therefore, we need to investigate further".
According to an NDTV report, Aryan Khan appeared "calm" while his friends Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha broke down when the judge announced the decision.

¡°If any substance is seized from any other person (co-accused), that doesn¡¯t make any ground to take my client into custody,¡± he said.
The NCB had earlier stated that there was material in the form of WhatsApp chats against the three, allegedly ¡®showing nexus' with peddlers and suppliers regularly.
Apart from Aryan Khan, seven others ¡ª Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, and Gomit Chopra were arrested after the raid on Saturday.
Based on a tip-off, around 20 NCB officials booked tickets and boarded the cruise, Ship Cordelia, disguised as passengers. The investigating offers onboard waited to catch the passengers using narcotics and later caught them red-handed.
The captain of the ship was then instructed to take the cruise back to the international cruise terminal at Ballard Pier in south Mumbai.
