The Indian cricket team gave their best. They hadn't lost a single match in the tournament so far. Everyone was rooting and cheering for them to get home ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 trophy. Not only the entire nation was silent and in grief, but even the entire team was in tears.

A heartbroken Rohit Sharma who was seen shedding tears was quoted as saying, "The result has not gone our way. We were not good enough today. We tried everything but it wasn't supposed to be. 20-30 runs more would have been good, KL and Kohli were stitching a good partnership and we were looking at 270-280 but we kept losing wickets."
