Celebs Are Unhappy With Supreme Court's Decision To Refuse Protection For The Team Of 'Tandav'
After Supreme Court refused to provide interim protection from arrest to the makers of Tandav, Richa Chadha, Konkona Sen Sharma and Gauahar Khan have expressed unhappiness.
Multiple FIRs have been filed against the cast and the crew of Tandav for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindus. They are also facing violent threats. Amid all this, the makers have failed to get relief from Supreme Court which has refused to grant the makers and actors of the Amazon Prime show protection from arrest.
The apex court turned down their petition on Wednesday in which they had requested interim protection from arrest citing that "right to freedom of speech is not absolute".
'Priorities of the apex court!'
Commenting on Supreme Court's decision, Richa Chadha wrote, "Priorities of the apex court!"

When Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub's lawyer argued that his client was just an actor under contract and that his view does not necessarily incline with that of the character he portrayed, Justice MR Shah said, "You accepted the contract after reading the script. You cannot hurt religious sentiments."
Here's how other people reacted to this.
With respect?, Alot of films speak about the muslims, quran, allah, terrorism, dawood, etc then these corrupt politicians, supreme court don't have a problem with that but anything said or done which hurt hindu sentimental, is a crime..WAH!!#Tandav #SupremeCourt @LiveLawIndia

Henceforth film makers should start sending their scripts to SC for prior approval before they start shooting. #Tandav #SupremeCourt

Ever after the makers have apologised and removed the controversial and objectionable scenes, the trouble for the makers and actors doesn't seem to end anytime soon.
