After 17 years of marital bliss, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora took everyone by shock as they announced separation in 2017. While Arbaaz soon announced he was dating Giorgia Andriani, Malaika went on to date Arjun Kapoor. They both however continued to co-parent their son Arhaan.

After dating for several years, Giorgia and Arbaaz have broken up. Talking about the same to Pinkvilla, she said, "We were friends, we were like best friends. I will always have feelings for him; I will always do."
She added, "The relationship that he had with Malaika (Arora) did not really come in the way of my relationship with him. What I am now to be called somebody's girlfriend, I don't; I definitely find it very demeaning. We both knew that it wouldn't last forever. It was very different."

Confirming their relationship, Arbaaz once said in an interview, "When you are living alone then you tend to take life casually. You can either change for the better or probably for the worse. You can get addicted to a bottle or you may think that there is nothing left in your life. Fortunately, I was not in that mindset and my partner encouraged me to remain positive and go ahead in life."
Arbaaz and Malaika had parted ways in 2016. Arbaaz confirmed his relationship with Giorgia in 2019. "There was a time when I needed to be worried and now it¡¯s over. Whether you forget or forgive, whatever scenario you may choose, you have to move on," he said.

Earlier speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Giorgia had said, "Like I said we're very good friends. But coming to wedding or marriage, to be honest, it is something that we're not really looking at."
