Kashyap told The Hindu that he had already left Mumbai and paid the rent on his new residence. He did not specify which place he had moved to, but if rumours are to be believed, Bengaluru is where he now calls home.
Anurag Kashyap disclosed that he has decided to disassociate himself from the film industry and has left Mumbai. He voiced his displeasure with Bollywood's current situation, calling it toxic and unduly preoccupied with reaching irrational box office goals, with producers putting success at Rs 500 or Rs 800 crore ahead of originality. Kashyap claims that the creative environment in the sector has faded, which has caused him and a number of others to relocate. He noted that while some mainstream filmmakers have moved to Portugal, London, Germany, and the United States, many have moved to the Middle East, especially Dubai. He additionally condemned the prevalent attitude in the Mumbai film industry, saying that rather than encouraging artistic advancement, people frequently have a tendency to undermine one another.
On the work front, in Dacoit, Anurag Kashyap will be seen playing a police officer. Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh play the main parts in the multilingual movie, which was filmed in Telugu and Hindi.
