Actress Vaishnavi Dhanraj who is best known for playing the role of Inspector Tasha Kumar in CID, Jahnvi in Na Aana Is Des Laado and Mehek Roy in Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal among others, has accused her family of beating her. Sharing a video on her Instagram Strories, she urged for help.
In a shocking turn of events, actress Vaishnavi Dhanraj who is best known for playing the role of Inspector Tasha Kumar in CID, Jahnvi in Na Aana Is Des Laado and Mehek Roy in Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal among others, has accused her family of beating her. Sharing a video on her Instagram Strories, she urged for help.

With bruised lips and an injury on the right hand's wrist, the Bepannaah actress said, "Hi, this is Vaishnavi Dhanraj. I really need help right now. I'm in Kashimira police station and I've been abused by my family and I'm hit very badly. Please I need help from everybody from the media, news channels, and everybody in the industry. Please come and help me".

As per her friend K Himaanshu Shuklaa, she was held hostage by her own family.

Vaishnavi Dhanraj's abusive marriage
Vaishnavi was previously in an abusive marriage. She had earlier told Spotboye.com that she was a victim of domestic violence and ended her marriage as she couldn't bear it anymore. For the unversed, she got married to Nitin Sherawat in 2012. Four years later in 2016, she got divorced.
"He wouldn¡¯t have killed me probably, but I got so scared that I ran away from the house. He had beaten me so badly that my leg was bleeding. That was my last day as his wife- emotionally, physically, and mentally. I eventually got a divorce," she was quoted as saying.
Vaishnavi and Nitin met on the sets of Kitani Mohabbat Hai 2. Their wedding was included in the list of biggest celebrity weddings of the year by the media.
Apart from TV shows like Crime Patrol, Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Mahabharat, Begusarai and Sasural Simar Ka among others, she was also seen in movies like Vodka Diaries and PK Lele A Salesman.
