For the uninitiated, Diljit Dosanjh performed in Jaipur on November 3 as part of his Dil-Luminati Tour. Apart from this hostel video, another video of the Punjabi singer known for songs like Lover, Goat, Lemonade, and Peaches, among others, in which he interacts with a Marwari fan has gone viral on the internet. Honouring his Pagdi, he says, "Yeh pagdi humari shaan hai, yeh humare desh ki yahi khoobsurti hai. Har 2, 3, 4 ghante baad humari boli change ho jaati hai, humara khaana change ho jaata hai. Yeh humare desh ki yeh beauty hai (This turban is our pride; it's the beauty of our country. Every few hours, our language changes, our food changes¡ªthat¡¯s the unique charm of our nation)."
He added, "Aur hum jahan jahan se hai, koi Jaipur se hai, koi Gujarat se hai, koi Delhi se hai, Haryana se hai, Punjab se hai, hum sabko pyaar karte hai (Wherever we're from¡ªwhether it's Jaipur, Gujarat, Delhi, Haryana, or Punjab¡ªwe love everyone.)".
