Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest-running sitcoms in the history of Indian television. The show has been entertaining audiences for almost 15 years now and has not slipped the TRP charts ever. The show has an ensemble and eye-catching cast that has weaved the story of humour for years now.

Although most of the actors are still playing their parts since the start, some of them left the show in between to pursue their hearts.
Jheel Mehta was one of the actresses who chose to walk out in pursuit of happiness. Jheel played the character of Sonalika Atmaram Bhide from the show¡¯s launch (2008) until 2012 when she decided to quit. Mehta who was brilliant in her studies took a step back to focus on herself and importantly her academics.

A similar reason remains with the lady who replaced Jheel. Nidhi Bhanushali who played the character of Sonu between 2012-2019 also walked off the sitcom owing to her academic attention. Currently, actress Palak Sindhwani is playing the character. In the serial, Sonu is shown as the daughter of Atmaram and Madhavi.

Jheel reportedly scored 90% in her 10th and had plans of pursuing medicine as her career option. But that didn¡¯t happen! Mehta then took commerce and completed her graduation with a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration). Currently, Jheel works as a social media executive for a startup named Mutterfly which is an e-commerce site for renting products.
Not just that, Jheel is also running a grooming and makeup business with her mother Lata Mehta.

Jheel Mehta is dating a guy who is as beautiful as her. Well, she has been sharing pictures and videos with him but has kept his identity hidden from fans. In one of the reels that Jheel shared recently, several users took to the comment section and played fun around her dating another guy and not Tappu.
Where one user wrote, ¡°Tappu ko Tina se hi shaadi kr lena chahiye tha¡± another said, ¡°Tapu - Toota Hua Saaz Hoon Main.. Khud Se Hi Naaraz Hoon Main¡¡±. The third one added, ¡°Justice for tapu¡¯, fourth one added, ¡°Jethalal: cash ? ke check??¡±. The fifth said, ¡°Baba dekhenge to kya sochenge¡±.
