One of the most notable obituary for Sushma Swaraj came from Omkara director Vishal Bhardwaj, who not only condoled her death but also pointed out her contribution for the Indian Film Industry.
Calling her one of the most reasonable voices of Indian politics, Vishal Bhardwaj pointed out how she gave Bollywood the status of 'Film Industry'. He wrote,
So sad to learn about the unfortunate demise of Ms. Sushma Swaraj. One of the most reasonable and big hearted voices of Indian politics. She had so much love and care for artists and when she was the I&B minister, she gave Bollywood the status of a Film Industry.

Several Bollywood stars are devastated by the tragic news of her death. Mourning the loss, Parineeti Chopra wrote,
"I hail from Ambala Cantt, same as Sushma Swaraj ji. Always felt proud that a woman from our small town made it big, and made a difference. Sushma ji rest in peace. You inspired me on a personal level.,"
Riteish Deshmukh recalled meeting Sushma Swaraj during the making of his debut film Tujhe Meri Kasam. He wrote,
"I had the good fortune of meeting #sushmaswaraj ji (Minister I&B) in 2001 when she visited #RamojiFilmCity where @geneliad and I were shooting for our debut film #TujheMeriKasam - she blessed us and wished us success; as newcomers, it energised and encouraged us. Thank you for your grace, ma'am,"
Arjun Kapoor mourned the loss of the "extraordinary leader, minister and personality".
Anushka Sharma wrote, "Saddened to hear about the sudden demise of Sushma Swaraj ji . May her soul rest in peace," she wrote.
