Naatu Naatu Singers Kaala Bhairava & Rahul Sipligunj Bump Into Rihanna At Oscars; Pics Go Viral

Oscars saw some of the most iconic moments in its 95th edition held recently. From Lady Gaga to Rihanna, Naatu Naatu to Applause, the grand event was studded with breathtaking performances. Representing India were Naatu Naatu singers Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj who performed their song live at the event.

The duo alongside the song¡¯s choreographer Prem Rakshith ended up bumping into ¡®Queen¡¯ Rihanna.

Rihanna at the event flaunted her baby bump and performed 'Lift Me Up' at the Oscars. The Naatu Naatu trio met Rihanna backstage and spent some time with her. For the unversed, Rihanna¡¯s song was beaten by Naatu Naatu in the Best Original Song category.

Kaala Bhairava took to Twitter and shared a picture of their catch-up and wrote, ¡°I was short of words when this happened. An artist I always looked up to, and admired deeply! My inspiration, The queen @rihanna Wanted to tell her how much I love ¡®Stay¡¯ and that I must¡¯ve listened to it a million times. This memory is going to ¡®stay¡¯ in my heart forever. We were literally spellbound when she performed last night! UNBELIEVABLE!¡±

Rahul Sipligunj shared another picture with Rihanna and wrote on Instagram, ¡°Wooow I have met the most amazing lady with a very beautiful heart. Still in shock by seeing your humbleness #rihana @badgalriri and how down to earth you are! Thank you so much for calling and appreciating for the performance and #oscarwinning. It¡¯s an emotional moment for me!! Can¡¯t keep calm.¡±

Rahul¡¯s mother who is super proud and happy for her son said that he was confident about the Oscar feat.

Sudha Rani told South First, ¡°Even before leaving for the Oscars, he was confident about winning it. This was because the song ¡®Naatu Naatu¡¯ won the Golden Globe Awards. He said that now we have won the Golden Globe, we will win the Oscars too. He was very happy. He said this is the biggest achievement of his life and thanked us for giving him support. We also wished him luck in making the country and our family proud. It¡¯s God¡¯s blessing.¡±

¡°His favourite food is biryani, whether mutton or chicken. So I will cook it for him.¡±

Rahul¡¯s father Rajkumar told reporters, ¡°He (Rahul) has also got the same genes. When he was a child he would sing sometimes and I took notice of it.¡± For the unversed, the Oscars for RRR were collected by musician MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrashekhar Bose amid thunderous applause from the audiences.
