PM Narendra Modi met Oscar winners Guneet Monga and Kartiki Gonsalves, who are behind the making of The Elephant Whisperers.
PM Narendra Modi on Thursday met 'The Elephant Whisperers' producer Guneet Monga and director director Kartiki Gonsalves, who recently won the prestigious Oscar awards at the 95th Academy Awards held in Los Angeles.
Modi congratulated the two award-winning women and the team saying that "they have made India proud" with their work.
Taking to Twitter PM Modi shared a picture from their meeting and wrote, "The cinematic brilliance and success of ¡®The Elephant Whisperers¡¯ has drawn global attention as well as acclaim. Today, I had the opportunity to meet the brilliant team associated with it. They have made India very proud. @guneetm @EarthSpectrum."

About 'The Elephant Whisperers'
'The Elephant Whisperers', is a nature documentary movie, which talks about how a couple (Bomman and Bellie) in south India, devote their lives to taking care of an orphaned baby elephant and their bond.
The documentary film went on to bag the award for the 'Best Documentary Short Film' at the global platform.
Kartiki's Oscars Speech After Receiving The Award
Director Kartiki, who graced the Oscars stage with producer Guneet Monga gave a powerful speech at the podium after receiving the perstigious award.
In her acceptance speech, 'The Elephant Whisperers' director said, "I stand here to speak today about the sacred bond between us and the natural world for the respect of indigenous communities and empathy towards other living beings we share our space with and finally for coexistence. Thank you to the academy for recognising our film, highlighting indigenous people and animals. To my motherland India."
