PM Narendra Modi, SS Rajamouli, and others pay tribute to late K Viswanath.
Renowned filmmaker K Viswanath reportedly died in the late hours on February 2 (Thursday). The veteran filmmaker, who is considered to be one of the greatest talents in the Telugu film industry was 92 years old.
Viswanath death has left many in the industry sad. Viswanath was not just a filmmaker but an icon when it comes to Indian cinema. He made films much ahead of time on issues related to society that stay relevant even today.
Viswanath is an award-winning filmmaker, who donned several hats in the industry. He was a writer, director as well as an actor, who mentored many.
Many people paid tribute to the cinema legend on social media including India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi took to Twitter to mourn the demise of the veteran filmmaker K. Viswanath.
He wrote, "Saddened by the passing away of Shri K. Viswanath Garu. He was a stalwart of the cinema world, distinguishing himself as a creative and multifaceted director. His films covered various genres and enthralled audiences for decades. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti."

SS Rajamuli also penned a heartfelt note as a tribute to the deceased filmmaker. Rajamouli took to Twitter mourn the legendary filmmaker's demise and pay his last respects.
In his Twitter post, the RRR director mentioned that K Viswanath was "one of the greatest talents Telugu cinema had ever seen." Rajamouli also said that he is forever indebted to legend Viswanath for what he has taught people through his films.
Rajamouli also added, "Your signature on Telugu Cinema &art, in general, will shine brightly forever."

Among the first few celebrities, Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas also went to K Viswanath's residence to pay their respects in person to the late veteran filmmaker and a Dadasaheb Phalke awardee.
Reportedly, K Viswanath's last rites are yet to be held and the details will be out shortly.
