Priyanka Chopra Feels 'On The Edge' Post Her Visit To Draught-Hit Kenya, Says, 'There's Hope'
Actress Priyanka Chopra said that as a new mother 'it really hits her differently' seeing the situation in draught-hit Kenya.
Priyanka Chopra has not only made a mark with her acting career but also with her work with the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) as its Goodwill Ambassador.
The wife of American singer-actor Nick Jonas has been vocal about many things including poverty, climate change, child rights, and education among others.
Priyanka aka PeeCee visited drought-hit Kenya and shared her experience in a heart-wrenching video in which she highlighted the hunger crisis looming at large in the East African country.
Speaking of the situation in Kenya, global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for child rights Priyanka Chopra said that as a new mother, it affects her differently.
In the video, PeeCee stated, "I am very uneasy today. My mind is in a million places at one time, I am really feeling on the edge. It's been this way since I boarded my flight from LA. I am in Kenya with UNICEF to see the first hand the severe crisis that is unfolding. And as a new mother, it really hits differently. I know its going to tough but I want to take you on this journey."

"Children are starving to death and millions are on the brink of starvation. This is the face of the climate crisis, and here in Kenya it¡¯s happening right now. But, there is hope and there are solutions," she further wrote in the caption of her video post on Instagram.
The actress also went on to mention that over the next few days she'll be highlighting the efforts made by UNICEF on the ground to save lives.
However, the actress highlighted that in order to reverse the unprecedented crisis in Kenya, money is desperately needed and hence she has requested her followers to make donations.
On the acting front, Priyanka Chopra was recently seen in Hollywood's 'The Matrix Resurrections.' She is all set to make a comeback in Bollywood with Farhan Akhtar's upcoming directorial 'Jee Le Zaara.'
The film also stars currently two of the industry's A-list actresses Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles as PeeCee's co-stars. Priyanka Chopra also has a few Hollywood projects. She will next feature in the movies - 'It's All Coming Back to Me' and 'Ending Things.'
