Do you know he is prepping for Olympics 2026?
Madhavan and his family had shifted to Dubai so that his son could practice there. Madhavan said that he didn't have access to larger pools in India because of the Covid-19 lockdown. Hence, they decided to move to Dubai so that he could continue practicing there.
He says he is proud of his son and has no regrets that he doesn't want to be an actor like him. "His chosen vocation is far more important to me than my own career", he said.
Did you know Madhavan's parents wanted him to become an engineer?
R Madhavan's father Ranganathan Iyengar was a management executive in Tata Steel and his mother, Saroja was a manager in the Bank of India. When he told them about his ambitions, "They (his parents) were distraught, in fact, my dad was driven to tears. And I remember a line where he said, ¡®I wonder what I have done wrong with you,'" he told Curly Tales in an interview.
R Madhavan has made them proud!
