Salman Khan Once Told Sidharth Malhotra 'He Can't Become An Actor', Here's How He Reacted

Even before he made his debut, Sidharth Malhotra the Shershaah of Bollywood met Salman Khan at his home. He had gone there with a friend who has appeared on Bigg Boss.

There, the Bhaijaan of Bollywood told him that he can't become an actor.

Not just Salman, in fact, Farah Khan had also told Sidharth Malhotra that he wasn't cut out for Bollywood. He said Farah who is known for her good sense of humor mostly said it in a funny way.

Talking about Salman's comment, he said:

"I had gone to Salman Sir's house with a friend who did Bigg Boss at that time. I had never met him. We just randomly landed at his home in the night. I'm not much of a drinker. When he asked me, 'you want a drink?'. I said, 'no sir'".

"And then the conversation began. He didn't really know... who I am what I was doing... obviously, I was a newcomer back then. He asked, 'what do you do'. I said, 'I'm doing a film. I didn't name it. My friend said, 'he is doing Student Of The Year'".

Sidharth added that he was a bit intimidated and nervous too as that was his first interaction with a superstar. "Then, the conversation went along and he said. 'I'm not sure... I want to see what you¡¯re all about... Hindi cinema needs this and that'. He suggested I should do television instead of movies."

How did Sidharth react?

"I was just smiling. I didn't even get offended." He added that he felt important enough that Salman Khan was commenting on him.

Years later, when he told Salman Khan about his conversation, he "claimed to be in high spirits" and "He said I was trying to push you."

Furthermore, Sidharth said when he appeared on the stage of Bigg Boss, Salman said, "Aur inhe jab mai mila tha maine inhe kuch aisa bola encourage karne ke liye... aur dekhiye aaj ye hero bann gaye... I was trying to push you," Sidharth Malhotra told Film Companion in an interview.
