Ex-actress and now a politician Smriti Irani is all about that social media game. You'll catch her hitting up her official accounts to drop her thoughts and chat with her fans. Last Sunday evening, she rolled out an "Ask Me Anything" session on Instagram. While being in her element, she was engaging with her fans. But then, this one netizen had to go and ask if she tied the knot with her friend's hubby. Got her pretty ticked off, I must say.
The 47-year-old decided it was time to clear things up for everyone. The troll got a response that matched their tone perfectly. She told the troll not to bring people she knows into politics. Then, she shut down all the chit-chat about her marrying her friend's hubby. She added that Mona, her husband Zubin's first wife, is 13 years her senior. She added, 'So no question of her being my 'bachpan ki saheli'... she is family and not a politician.'
Zubin Irani was previously married to Mona, and they have a daughter named Shanelle.
She also wrote, 'Don't drag her in... fight me, argue with me, demean me but don't drag a civilian who has nothing to do with politics into the gutter with you... she deserves respect.'
